Language Formats In Word for Mac

HI,

I hope somebody can help me with my problem....

I have a valid version of office for my mac.....when im using word and
try to run a spelling check it comes back as complete with no spelling
errors when i know for sure there are spelling mistakes.....so i try
to reformat the language setting....

i open tools
choose language
select english uk
click save

nothing happens....word does not remain in the english uk language
setting...when i open the language tool again it has reverted to no
language selected...???? what can i do with this??

Furthermore when i go to save a docc i run a compatibility
report.....it always always comes back with the same message....word
cannot identify the text language....

please i hope one of you guys who know much more than i can help me!

Hello Brian -

Since you didn't list it I have to ask: Are you selecting any text *before*
going to the Tools menu? If not, that's most likely the problem. Try Cmd+A
first, then change the language setting (just as though you were applying
bold or changing font size).

If that isn't the problem try to provide a little more info about the source
of the content & the nature of the doc. Is it just one doc in particular or
are there others/all that exhibit the same behavior?
