Try going to Tools>Customize>Customize Toolbars/Menus. On the Toolbars page
click the name of the Menu Bar, then click Reset.
If that doesn't fix it, try this in the same Customize dialog, but on the
Commands page:
Select Tools from the left list,
Locate Language... In the right list: Note that a 'duplicate' of the Menu
Bar appears as a toolbar,
As one continuous action, Drag the Language... Command to the Tools item on
the duplicate bar & down to position on the menu list below Dictionary.
Should *that* still fail, go back again, drag Tools off the duplicate bar,
scroll in the list of categories to Built-In Menus. Then drag Tools from the
Commands (right) list to its appropriate position on the duplicate menu bar.
For future reference, reinstalling on the Mac typically does no good. The
settings are retained in separate files that don't get replaced if you're
reinstalling the same app, so the problem usually persists. If a reinstall
is required after all else [last resort], a proper *removal* needs to be
done first.
