Hi

I am using Word 2002. So when I import adresses of a file, then
I have got a dialog whitch asks me for the convertionrules. There is
always chinese(gn2312) selected and I have to change to Windwos
standart.
My question: where can I change the default vaule to Windows standart?

Thanks
Roland

Unfortunately, I don't think you can. As far as I can tell, Word just makes
a judgment based on the file content and possibly the language version of
Windows you are using. I have no idea how it makes that judgment. If you
have some control over the file format used for your address files, you
could try saving them as UTF-8 Unicode files which Word will probably
recognise correctly (although it will probably still present you with the
dialog). You should be able to experiment by opening the file in Word,
selecting the correct encoding when asked, then using File|Save As and
choosing Encoded FIle to save with the UTF-8 encoding
