Language Settings in OneNote 2007 Beta

I have read the post "I want to disable English US dictionary, it keeps " but
the solutions proposed don't seem to work.

I can change the language in a single text area in OneNote 2007 but it
doesn't apply to other eg even within the same table.

I tried the language settings option but it was labeled Office XP (even
though this build has only ever had Office 2003 and Office 2007 Beta.)

I have read the post "I want to disable English US dictionary, it
keeps " but the solutions proposed don't seem to work.

Unfortunately in the newsgroup there's only two postings of this
thread left.
Language changes did bother me very much. IIRC there were at least 3
dozens of postings of mine on this topic, among others in the
following threads:
- Disable ON2007 spellcheck 8/29/2006 5:27 AM PST - By: Zed
- Language selection 7/29/2006 9:55 AM PST - By: Rainald Taesler

I do not suffer anymore and it really works fine for me using the
language selection filed in the "Standard" toolbar.

What's left as a problem is the spellchecker which can only be
disabled ON-system-wide and not for individual pages.
This IMO is a really serious issue.
I can change the language in a single text area in OneNote 2007 but
it doesn't apply to other eg even within the same table.

One can set the language:
- for a whole page,
- for an activated container,
- for any marked item.

So the latter will work for a table if one just marks the cells.
I tried the language settings option but it was labeled Office XP
(even though this build has only ever had Office 2003 and Office
2007
Beta.)

Might you explain *which* settings options *where* you are talking
about?
I'm unable to follow you :-( :-(
