Hey hey
I am using a network based CD image with a local cache. All is good. I set
the office lang to defaul to the OS. the OS lang is New Zealand English.
Office installs fine everything looks ok. however in System Information
under MSOffce 2003 the lang of apps shows as Chinese (Taiwan). It seems
office does not know NZ so it puts some other name in Sys Info.
Interesting if I open sys info from help in word the lang shows as US
English but if I look at the other office apps (from the same Sys Info
session) they show as the Chinese one. I close Sys Info and open say Excel
and sys info through excel help then excel shows US and the others including
word show the chinese one.
A consistent bug in office possible related to setting office to use the on
OS language when office does not specifically cater to that language?
It is the same if I use an admin install point etc. Perhaps I have to
speficy US in which case I should be able to find info to say that but I
cant.
Interesting in a heart stopping kind of way.
