I have the English version of Word, but I really need spelling and
grammar corrector in English, French and Spanish (also Portuguese, it
is possible). As far as I know, it is called proofing tools and needs
to be bought. Is there any other way to solve my problem? or does
anybody know how can I download it freely? Thank you very much...

You'll only get the Portuguese proofing tools in Office 2004.

That wa the case a looonnng time ago. Hopfully with the current versions, all
proofing tools are in the Value Pack folder of the install CD.
If you are talking about Office X, I would strongly suggest that you'd re-run
the various updaters for Office afterwards since many of these tools were
amongst the components that needed updates.

No Value Pack in Office 2004. If you did the Easy Install or dragged the MS
Office folder you'd have all the Proofing Tools already. (The Proofing Tools
folder is in Shared Applications folder of Microsoft Office 2004.) Go check.
If you did a Custom Install and skipped those, run the Installer again from
the CD, and install all Languages and Proofing Tools.

If you have Office X or 2001, as Corentin says it's in the Value Pack on the
CD. Run the Value Pack Installer.
