Not in MacWord. Maybe via copy-and-paste into TextEdit. More info:

Another option that has been offered before: you can get the spelling
doctionaries from ASpell (ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict/) - I hope
there is a Turkish one - and try to use them in Word. If there is no
Turkish dictionary there, look for another one that would be editable on
the Web.
Create a new custom dictionnary for Turkish, edit it in a text editor
and paste all the words from the ASpell dictionary in there.

It's not perfect, but with that, you can spell-check quite a few words
directly in Word,

Ah, thanks Corentin. I didn't realize the custom dictionary could be used
that way in Word. I'll try to remember to add that to the article.

Other people have reported in the group that this was how they added
support for their own language. It sounds like a rather clever idea to
me. Not perfect, but at least it's something :)

Excellent, Corentin!

I've added this point to "Bend Word to Your Will" (the latest edition of
which was uploaded yesterday and is now ever-so-slightly out out of date).

Cheers,
Clive
