Laptop and external screen reversed in slide shows

Hi. This problem is driving me crazy, and I can't figure out how to
fix it.
I have a Powerbook G4. When I connect to a projector or even just an
external screen (including my Apple Display), the slide show itself
happens on the laptop's screen, while the one with the notes and the
timer, etc., shows on the external screen. How do I fix this? It's the
only software program where this seems to happen.

Move the menu bar from laptop to main screen in Display prefs > Arrangement
?
