Part 1 of my thesis (due in one week...arrrhhhh). When I open it I get the
message “the document ‘filename’ when last opened caused a serious error.
Would you like to open it?’ When I click yes, MS Word hangs. I take it this
is not a good thing? Anyway, if I rename the file, it still won’t open.
However, if I make a copy and open the copy without renaming it, it does
open. I can work on it and save. However, next time I open it, I get the
same message. So I make yet another copy and keep going. I can’t however,
copy the contents of part 1 into part 2 to put it together. There must be a
corruption in part 1 somewhere. I would appreciate any ideas.
