LARGE ATTACHMENTS IN OUTLOOK 2300

In Outlook Express there is a setting to break apart large attachments. Does
anyone know how to do this in Outlook 2300? In this discussion group there
are directions for breaking apart attachments in an earlier version of
Outlook, but I can't find how to do it in 2300.

There's no built-in option for this in Outlook, as far as I know.

Many spam filters will trigger on multi-part e-mails because that is how
malcontents attempt to get past virus scanners. There is no point is
slicing up an e-mail. The same number of bytes will be consumed in the
recipients mailbox for one whole message or for N messages that are parts
for the one message. Actually more space gets used for multi-part e-mails
because of the repeated headers and slack disk space for every file instead
of just the slack space for one file. The sender and recipient don't save
any time sending or receiving multi-part e-mails because they will still
have to send or download all parts of the message - and obviously it isn't
the body of your message that you are slicing up but because you are
attaching some overly huge file to it.

BTW: Outlook 2300 won't be coming out for another 294 years from now.

Thanks to Lanwench and to Vanguard. In regard to Vanguard's reply, I was just
trying to take a long range outlook.

Seriously, the rationale for the break apart option as is found in OE is
that some ISPs block e-mails over a certain size. For instance my office
computer is behind a corporate firewall that used to block all e-mails over 2
MB. I just received one that was 3.69 MB, so the limit has been increased.
But receiving that e-mail reminded me of OE's break apart option, so I tried
to find the same thing in Outlook (2003)
