Large Linked Items in Word/Excel 2002

I have been given responsibility for maintaining a failry largish block of
information for the company, the long and the short of it is that I want to
keep the info in an Excel database, and link to and print it from Word.

Here's the problem. I can Embed it correctly, so that it appears as it want
it to, but I need it to show changes made in the source data. However, when I
paste the table (11 pages long) in as a Linked Item, It tries to cram it all
onto one page, loosing most of the chart, and rendering what can be seen as
unreadable (compressing vertically and horizontally).

Microsoft, naturally is telling me that they can tell me how to do it, but
only if I send them lots of money, because Office 2002 is no longer
warrantied. So...since I don't have the budget for that, anyone out there
know how to help me out?

Thanks!
