I copied my .pst onto a CD (after making sure it was the right file and
noting its size). I then loaded the copy on the new machine and tried to
open it as a personal folder both directly from CD (which can't work
because
it's read only) and after copying it to my hard drive and making sure it
wasn't read only.
It (or something opens) as a new Personal Folders but my messages,
folders,
contacts are not there.
I went back and made sure it was the right file and its size indicates
that
it is.
The file is still working properly on my XP machine.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Pst files from Outlook 2000 are perfectly compatible with Outlook 2007.
Time
to provide some information: how you created, saved and accessed this
file.

I've got a large 2000 file (250MB) with lots of folders and messages,
contacts, etc. I open it in 2007 and none of the messages, contacts,
etc.
appear. What can I do?
