Large Word file (MAC OS X)

I made the big mistake of writing a lengthy paper (almost 200 pages),
mostly mathematical with M$ Word. It seems that -- even though I
have sufficient space -- Word will not allow me to save the file to _any_
disk and reports a cryptic DOS like error about "not enough room."
Funny, I have lots of room and the file really isn't big. Last update to
this file had to be trashed! I am sick of this program. Has anyone else
(Windows or Mac) had a similar experience.

I guess I better go back to LaTeX.
