lasso

I completly agree with K, Microsoft Journal uses the lasso and it is extremly
useful. It is difficult to use the box selection tool in OneNote. If anyone
else has any suggestions speak up please

Evolution has a lasso just like journal and uses ink in the same style as
journal.

You can lasso some ink notes and change color, size and tranparency.

You were asking for a suggestion.

Thanks for the suggestion, looks pretty good, I might just wait for OneNote
2007.
Thanks again

It would appear that lasso does not behave in a similar manner in One Note
2007 Selecting an object just by clicking does not work. You have to use the
lasso to encircle the object of interest.

Lasso in Journal appears tobehave differently.. and better... or did i
miss something?

Hello Bill,

You can select an object in OneNote by clicking without using the Lasso.
The Lasso works the way I would expect it to, lets you encircle an area
of the screen and effectively select all of the items within that area.
I rarely use Journal so I'll have to go back to it and see how it works there.

It's kinda like the baby duck syndrome. Once you get used to using the
lasso one way in one program, you expect it to work the same way in
others. I still use Journal for things like taking my Math notes because
I can more quickly and easily select, group, and move things like the
page is a magic white board without bothering with text blocks and
writing guides. Therefore I am pretty used to the way the lasso works in
Journal. I think the way OneNote 2007 treats the text blocks and ink will
make it easier for me to take even my math notes directly in OneNote. I
will have to try it out while actually in class to really tell. But it
would definitely be nice to have lasso also select things when I just
click on them just like in Journal. When it comes to software, especially
pen enabled software, consistency is a good thing.
