Last Modified comparison to actual date in a view

Hi All, MSPS 2007, SP1, Infrastructure Update, October Update

Is there a way using either Data Analysis or a PWA View to show all projects
that have a delta between Last Modified and the current date? (a delta of 5
days), I would like to the the same type of comparison view for a Last
Modified and a Last Published.

Also is there a good reference site with tips and tricks for reporting for
MSPS 2007?

Thanks in advance for any responses. :)

L8rdays,

This is a tough one. The obvious answer is to have the user create a
Custom Filter in Project Center, where the filter is on Last Modified
less than or equal to MM/DD/YYYY (five days ago).

However, this is a crap set up, as the user has to go into filters and
execute the filter each time they go into Project Center. You can't
write a formula for a filter - you have to manually input the date
you're using as your filter criteria.

You can write a formula and a custom field, but this would require
that projects be opened and recalc'ed in Project Pro on some regular
basis, and that's usually not practical or desired.

My experience is that you quickly outgrow the native "reporting"
capabilities of MOPS and graduate to writing your own using the
Reporting Database and SSRS. Once you make that leap, many things
become not only possible, but pretty easy.

Hope that helps!

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response, and the unfortunate answer. I do appreciate
that you offered me some sort of solution. Bummed, but expected it. :)
