Last person to modify

I posted this last week, but i'm stuck

Q: i have a work book that is being shared amongst some co-workers and i. i
was
curious to know if there is a way to find out who modified it last

and enter in a cell such as
=DocProps ("last author")

But i don't know how to use this function to dump the value into a cell, a1
for example, on startup....and suggestions??

The answer you got from last week will automatically show you the last user
that modified the file in a cell each time you open the file. But that
involves macros and it seems you're not too familiar with that. So if you
don't mind manually checking it each time, you can go from the top menu File
--> Properties, click on Statistics tab and you'll see the Last Saved user.
