'Last updated by' parameter in Site Controls

I'm using a Site Control parameter to fill in a 'last updated' date on every
page of my website (built using FP 2003). Having changed it, I cannot work
out how to publish it - unless I have to publish the whole site again. Anyone
got any advice? Am I using the wrong method to put this sort of information
up?

If you have inserted a date webbot on your pages (especially in shared borders or include pages) make sure it uses the last time
automatically updated option
