"Late" calculation

I understand that the Project Server calculates the "variance" and/or
"lateness" of a task against the baseline. As in - The task was baseline do
be done on Monday but actual finish was tuesday. HOWEVER, does this system
count a task as "late" if it is done in the same workday but past the
baseline time that it is due? As in, if I have a task due at 11:00 am but I
update my task as complete at 11:30. Am I late or am I ok? I can't find
documentation on exactly how tight Project calculates this.

Hi Project Professional does all the calculations. Yes your task will be
late, though only a few hours late. You can of course create fields that
calculate variance in whole days only.
