So I installed the latest patches from MS on Thur and and am no longer able
to use Word, Excel, or Wordpad.
When I open word it opens fine and I can work for about 20-30 seconds.
During that time the memory usage of the winword.exe process get's upwards of
500mb and then the application closes.
Wordpad uses the same process and will get upwards of 30mb then close within
about 5 seconds
Excel works fine untill I try to modify the font of a field. Then the same
thing happens like Word.
When outlook uses Word as the default mail editor it acts like Word does.
When I use the outlook editor it works fine.
One of my coworkers had the same problem and was able to correct the problem
by upgrading to 2007 beta 2. No such luck for me.
Any thoughts as to the cause.
