Hi -
I'm coordinating a very large corporate rollout of Outlook 2007 and am
interested in doing something very specific in order to help control
the rollout. I don't want to explain all the reasons behind this
since it's not really relevant. What I want to do is: I want to
install Outlook but prevent users from accessing it (I'd make it
available later). When a user clicks the icon to launch Outlook,
instead of bringing up Outlook I want it to bring up a specific web
page. The web page explains to the user that Outlook is not
available. I'm not looking for any help with building a web page.
I'm looking specifically to find out how to launch a web page instead
of Outlook.
I was able to do something like this using the startup event in VBA
for Outlook, but it runs after the profile creation wizard, which
defeats the purpose. The web page needs to come up before even the
create profile wizard would appear.
Any good ideas on how to accomplish this?
Thank you VERY much in advance!
