Launching office applications via the shortcutbar are slow

We have recently deployed new computers with Windows 2000 SP4 and
Office XP SP2. Customers are complaining that since they received
their new computers opening office applications via the shortcut bar
takes a long time to open. If you go through start program and launch
the application it opens fine. Any Suggestions?

I am having the same problem. Office XP pro SP2 and Win2K sp4. All programs launched from the shortcut bar are slow. If you launch the application from any other location it responds like normal. Even if a shortcut is created on the desktop then dropped in the shortcut bar the problem remains. However, before dropping the shortcut it worked great.
