Launching office off a webpage

We have public access computers in our library, and want to develop a webpage
looking desktop. Off the page we will allow Internet access to our database
as well as MS Office applications. Will also need some coding to instruction
the application to close and return to new desktop "webpage".
Any help would be appreciated.
