Launching Word Macros from Access

I want to launch a Word macro from an Access macro.
The 'RunApp' command opens Word without a problem.
The 'SendKeys' command would be able to launch the Word
macro if it weren't for the problem that I can't get Word
to be the active window. How do I shift the focus to
Word without closing or minizing all the screens loaded
in Access?
