Hi All,
I'm currently making a network diagram, detailing all the components of an
IT Service. The drawing has circa 200 objects on the page at the moment. I'm
trying to get Visio to layout the shapes for me using the 'Lay Out Shapes'
function, but every time I use it, no matter which settings I use, it makes
incomprehensible mess!
For example, if I have 8 servers sitting on a switch, it will place 4 of
them directly next to the switch, but the other 4 on the other side of the
drawing, nowhere near any infrastructure the box uses. The result is a random
array of shapes, with connectors overlapping everywhere, resembling spaghetti
junction.
Has anyone else had this issue and managed to get a satisfactory outcome? If
so, could you let me know how you got it?
Many thanks in advance,
Ben
