LAYERED DOCUMENTATION Methodology

Folks:


I am very much interested in the network documentation process. To be very
effective however, DOCUMENTATION must be LAYERED. One reason for creating
LAYERED DOCUMENTATION is simply because different people (Engineers,
Managers, Operators, Designers) need to see different things whenever they
check network documentation. Recently I have been reading www.pgm.com .
This layering concept/methodology is discussed here.

I have been looking for information on LAYERED DOCUMENTATION, but with very
limited success. Any links or references on this subject deeply
appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Finally, someone seems to be interested in the LAYERED DOCUMENTATION concept
using Visio.

Sorry about the typo. The site is Pine Mountain Group or www.pmg.com.
PMG offers a course in December in California; I believe. The time location
are both inconvenient for me.
PMG does not offer its training program on CD/DVD

Loze, maybe we can pool resources (others invited) to acquire the necessary
training from at a much reduced cost
