I am formatting custom layouts - a title format without a number - a title
and content with a number. Back in normal view both work fine provided you
choose insert slide and choose the layout in the same process. If you choose
insert slide and it creates a layout by default as title and content(with my
page number as per default) then selecting the title format from the layout
menu converts back to the title default except it leaves the page number
hanging out there. Yes you can work around and delete the number manually
but there must be a better way.
