I like the 2007 version and since in am not a complex user of the product I
find the new look and feel of the product very well designed, but the ribbon
takes up significant screen space and is not layed out with what I would call
an intuitive design, which is what most of us that never read the
instructions or a Excel 2007 ofr Dummies book are looking for in our
software. I am slowly geting around and up to speed on where to find things
and since I have a larger screen at home the ribbon is not a problem, but at
work this may be more of an issue and I will not be able to determine this
until I see it on the smaller screen. Overall however I like what I see and
find in this new version of office. For the record, in 2003 I rarely use 70%
of the available toolbars, preferring to use the dropdowns and I know where
things are by these headings. Since this doesn't appear to be an option in
2007, I guess I will be learning new point and search techniques.
