Designing a report and want to increase the field width in the body of the
report without increasing the size of the corresponding header but they seem
to be tied together. Any suggestions (Beginner)

You've said "what" but not "why". What will having a skinnier header over a
larger detail/body allow you to do?

Perhaps you are talking about Access 2007 and mean you want to retain
the label size while increasing the size of the control that displays
the data.

If so, post back.

In design view on the arrange tab / control layout - click the "REMOVE"
button - this seperates the header from the field.
