Hello,
Worked until 6:00a.m. yesterday morning implementing a layout using layout
tables and it worked and was fine when I finally went to bed. Open it up
today and Frontpage has created some weird narrow cells and short cells.
Where I had 9 rows and 2 columns in a certain table when I went to bed, I now
have 16 rows and 3 columns-- and won't let me make it 2!! When I try to fix
it by deleting the weird little cells, it just screws up the table even more.
This also happened to me in a simpler but equally catastrophic way when I
tried to do the layout using regular tables (silly me; I thought you could
use Frontpage like one would use Word!!
I got all the way to the end, and then FrontPage created this large square
void in the middle of my layout. I spent 2 days trying to get rid of it, and
was unsuccessful, so started "learning" about layout tables and thought those
would be my salvation. At 6:00 a.m. yesterday, it appeared as though they had
been. Now, it's a mess again.
I've looked at some of the other posts and I am in fact using what's
considered to be a good image editor-- Photoshop Elements 3.0, BUT I am a
FrontPage newbie (who has been using PCs since 1984 and MS Word since 1989),
AND I did do the layout apparently in pixels instead of percentages, AND I do
have tables within tables-- in fact, the one table that's causing the
headaches and apparently has a mind of its own is a table within a table.
If this kind of stuff was happening in ohter software products I use, I'd
say it was buggy, but I don't see many posts about bugginess.
I'd sure appreciate some direction. All I'm trying to do is do a nice
table-like layout for eBay listings.
