Layout tabs on the left disappeared!

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I cannot find any answers for this problem. On the left side of the bottom, there was a tab for different layouts, but it all went off the view. How can I reset as it used to? Please help! Thanks in advance.

Check in the View menu first to make sure you aren't in Web Layout View. The
buttons you're looking for do not display when in that view. If that isn't
the problem...

Go to Word> Preferences - View, make sure that both Status Bar & Horizontal
Scroll Bar are checked.
