LCD projector reviews?

Looked around for some LCD projector reviews and they are scant,
lopsided, faar from all inclusice and, worse, seem to be tailored to a
given companies inventory.

Our Epson Powerlite 7700 died, again. Out of warranty, previous repair
worked for a while then he same failure occurred again. Yea, we could
pitch a fit and get it fixed again, but at this point, we dont trust it
anymore.

Need a moderate end business projection LCD - portable. Menaing not
ceiling mounted. Does not have to be ultra light, just under the 15lb
range. Prefer 2500-3000 lumen.

Are they like furnaces and computers - they are all OK but all have
issues? ;^)

Anyway, while this group not specific to this topic, they have a lot of
LCD experience. Is there a known source of unbiased LCD reviews?
Personal opinions out there?
