I am trying to go away from Microsoft Mail for interoffice email and wouls like to only use External email addresses. I wanted to use LDAP. I don't have an exchange server, but I noticed that if I set up the email address field in my Active Directory users I can setup Ldap clientin OUtlook to pull list from the AD. I am encountering 1 problem however. in order for the Meeting requests in outlook to work (Accept and decline buttons to come accross, you must select for each of your contacts the property field which says "Always send to this recipient in outlook Rich Text Format", which is the default for Microsoft Mail. I have tested this with a regular contact which I created in my outlook and it works. However with the AD list I noticed that under properties in my outlook, every field is greyed out and there is a field "Always send to this recipient in Microsoft Exchange Rich Text Format". I can't find a place to set this in AD and I am assuming this is because I don't have Microsoft Exchnage Server.
Does anyone know of a solution? If not does anyone know if I use a thir party software for creating my LDAP list will I be able to send the Meeting Requests properly.
Thanks,
Sam
