LDAP Directory error

HAD (not chose) to install Outlook 2002 with my new PPC 2003 software. Now
I get the error message: Microsoft LDAP Directory: Can't Contact LDAP
Directory Server (81).

I've looked this up on M$' Website and they want me to pay for support to
get a hotfix to one of their problems????????? Tell me this isn't true,
please.

Can anyone offer how I fix this problem?
