LDAP problem with Outlook 2003

I have a problem similar to one described in

Outlook 2003, fresh install on Win XP, all the service packs installed. When
I'm trying to make any search in LDAP server I'm getting MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED
message. Registry modification suggested by Microsoft in an article mensioned
above does not help.
Outlook 2002 works fine with the same LDAP server.

I would appreciate any help on this problem.

Some additions:
in fact LDAP lookup will work if I will add LDAP server to the brand new
empty profile. But if I will add my Exchange mail account to the same profile
- I will have a problem described before.
Any ideas?
