Hi,
This issue have probably been discussed before, but so far I have not been
able to find the answer I am looking for.
I need to use "LDAP" against my Exchange 2003 server from Outlook Xp/2003
because some of my users need to access more than one Exchange server on the
LAN.
It is no problem accessing several servers using standard connection against
one servers and "IMAP" against the others. However I have to use "IMAP"
against my Exchange 2003 server and then I have a problem accessing the
address lists on this server.
Therefore I was hoping that I could use "ldap" to access the address list
but so far I have not been able to find how to do that. I have tried
different methods but none of them works. I have used "LDAP" against
Exchange 5.5 servers without any problem before, but now I am stuck.
I know that Exchange 2003 does not have its own db for users and uses AD for
this information. Therefore I have tried to connect both to my Exchange
servers and my DC's. I have also tried different ports (the std. port 389
and 3268).
Can anyone give me some advice on how to set up "LDAP" from my clients
running Outlook Xp/2003 and also give me examples on how to configure the
"search base". For example, if my AD structure looks something like:
---
cn=users, ou=people, ou=dep1, ou=org, dc=site, dc=country
cn=users, ou=people, ou=dep2, ou=org, dc=site, dc=country
---
what is the correct "search base"?
Thanks and kind regards,
/Jan
