Hi,

Please try the following steps to resolve the problem you are experiencing with the Microsoft LDAP Directory Error.

1. Start Outlook.
2. On the Tools menu, click "E-mail Accounts".
3. Click "View or change existing directories or address books", and then click Next.
4. If you see LDAP directory in the list, please click and remove it.
5. Click OK.

Restart the computer and restart Outlook to see if the issue persists.

The information is provided in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
312343.KB.EN-US OL2002: "Can't Contact LDAP Directory Server" Error Message

<http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;312343>
Note: This article is also for Outlook 2003.
