.ldb file created and can't access .mdb file anymore

I'm the admin for a file called Programs.mdb that resides
on a shared network drive. Yesterday one of my
counterparts was able to open the file fine. Today, no
dice. A .ldb file is created anytime she tries to open it.
Any suggestions and explanation would be truly
appreciated. Thanks!

An ldb file is _supposed_ to be created whenever you open an Access file.
It should also get automatically deleted when the last user exits the file.
If she had a crash and the ldb file was not deleted then it can prevent you
from getting in the next time. Try deleting the ldb file and see what
happens.

If she doesn't have delete permissions to the folder then the ldb file will
never be deleted when she exits the mdb file and you will have this
problem.
