Leading dots on task bars

I have created custom work contours for my tasks and although I do not have
any splits in the work, I keep seeing leading dots in front of each bar on
the Gantt. I have tried to zero out the value in the cells on task usage but
the problem persists.
I have also tried to change the task type from fixed duration to fixed work
or fixed units and it doesn't help. I am using MSP 2000.

Any idea?

Hi,

Double-click on the assignment line in Tak usage to show ssignment
information, then set the assignment start date equal to the task start
date.
