Leave Mail on Server - How?

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Power PC
Email Client: pop

Hi....

I have three computers in my home - A linux box, a vista box, and a Mac running Leopard & Entourage. When I use Entourage on my Mac, I want it to leave email on the server (of my internet provider - a POP account). When I poll for email on my Linux box, I do not want to leave mail on the server. I found no setting in Entourage that would let me leave mail on server (after I have down loaded it). Can someone tell me how to do this? Thanks in advance

The only thing that appears under options on my account is the signature preferences. Where do I find the server option?

The 'leave on server' option only applies to POP accounts. All other
account types store messages on the server anyway.

I am using hotmail and believe it is set up as POP mail. Is there a way for me to be sure? How do I fix this problem?
