I can not find the option to leave mail on server. The only think that shows up under account>options is my signature preference. Can someone help?

Tools > Accounts > (Your Account) > Options > Server Options. It's below
where you choose your signature.

If you're not seeing it there, are you sure you're using a POP account? The
dialog looks different for IMAP and Exchange accounts (both of which leave
mail on the server as a matter of course, unless you ahve a Rule moving it).

Is there somewhere to check and see if my account is POP or IMAP? I used the assistant tool to set it up and do not remember it telling me. The only advice I got from the genius bar was to reinstall entourage

Open the Accounts window under Tools in the Menu bar. Your account name will
have (IMAP), (POP) or (Exchange) after the name.

It does not. I have not figured out how to do screenshots with the mac yet or else I would show you. My name does not appear. The account name is hotmail (Windows Live Hotmail). If I open account settings and look at the personal info, my name does appear but it does not say IMAP.POP. or EXCHANGE. Still after re-installing office, the only thing I see under the account options tab is a dropdown to select a default signature and a box for a header.

Perhaps Entourage is simply not compatible with hotmail.
Could I possibly have another option selected that is covering this option up?

Hotmail/Windows Live accounts are not IMAP, POP or Exchange. They are web
based accounts that Entourage can access. Essentially they are like an IMAP
account.

You can't select to leave on server because they are already on the server.

You must have a paid account in order to be able to download.

See this Mactopia article "Set up a Windows Live Hotmail account" for help.
