Leaving a message copy on the server (Outlook 2003)

Hello,
is it possible to leave a copy of message in server for unlimited time, but
in the way not to download the same messages every time I check the mail?
I enabled option "leave a copy of message in the server", but disabled
"leave in server for x days".
After I scheduled send/receive every 1 minute, I receive the same messages
every minute. Is it possible to enable receiving only for new messages
without deleting them from server?

Lengthen your send/receive interval. One minute is way too short. Try
eight or ten minutes.
