We have a user’s mailbox that the inbox is shared out with reviewer
permission for two other people in the company.
Currently when they access the shared inbox and open or print an e-mail the
message status changes from unread to read.
Is there a way to have the two people who are accessing the shared inbox to
be able to read, open and print e-mails without changing the message status
from unread to read?
I’ve already tried un-checking the reading pane options for “mark items as
red when viewed in the reading pane†and “mark items read when selection
changesâ€. This works only works when viewing e-mails in the reading pane,
however if the e-mail is opened or printed from the reading pane it will
change the e-mails status to read.
We are running Exchange Server 2007 with Outlook 2003 and 2007 clients.
