First off, I want to express how much I appreciate this tool, and if I
can't get around this issue it's not the end of the world. However I
am having a small formatting issue I want to see if anyone has any
suggestions for. I have a report that has three side by side sub-
reports within it, each of which can grow. The middle sub-report has
web addresses which I've formatted with underlines and colored blue to
help the customer realize they can click on it to go straight to that
page (which is really a function of their reader, but many customers
wouldn't realize they could do this without the visual hint). The
issue is that this formatting is "bleeding over". The records in THAT
subreport are separated by lines, so IF there is data in the web
address field (which happens to be the last field in the row), then
the separating line below also becomes blue (even though it's
formatted to be black). Also, the underlining format (but not the
blue color) is bleeding over into the data in the sub-report to the
right, so that the contents of that subreport are ALL underlined.
As far as I can tell, the color bleeding into the separation line is
constant: if the web address field is populated, the line separating
the rows below THAT record is blue. But the underlining text bleeding
into the neighboring sub-report is sporadic. In fact, MOST of the
time it doesn't happen. I haven't yet figured out the pattern. It is
data dependent... running that report for a specific job will always
cause it to happen for one set of data, while other sets of data that
don't have the problem never have the problem. Though so far it only
seems to appear when there's more than just two or three records in
the subreport that contains the web addresses. The reports look fine
if you simply view the report itself, as well as when converted to a
snapshot. But once it's converted into a .pdf, the issue appears.
Thanks!
