lectures are in-audible?

Hi,

With Microsoft OneNote there is an option to record lectures. Although, the
concept is awesome, the recorded lectures are inaudible when played back. I
have palyed around with some of the mic settings, but i've had no luck. Is a
better mic needed?

Can you provide some tips on how to improve the recordings?

Thanks a million,
Dev

7.01 I can't get my audio recordings to play back!
You have to have Windows Media Player 8 or greater and DirectX 8.1 installed
in order for the playback of audio recordings to work. If you don't have
them go to Windows Update where you should be able to download and install
them.

If you downloaded DirectX 9.0 from Windows Update you may find that you have
other problems; 9.0a is now available for download through Windows Update
and seems to resolve the problem.

Can you record your own voice close up? If yes, then it may just be a mic
problem with distant speakers, and you might want to buy a better mic. If
no, then try the microphone set up wizard in Windows XP's Sounds and Audio
Devices control panel (Voice tab, Test hardware)
