Left and bottom linkbars don't show up after publishing

First of all I am new to the forum and I am having an issue with FrontPage
2003, in particular when you publish a new page using FrontPage.

On occasion I will add a new page to one of my websites and I have added the
page into the navigation structure before publishing. After publishing I go
to the new page on the server and I find out that the linkbar on the left and
bottom of the page is missing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the
FrontPage Server Extensions to no avail. In addition on my Index.htm page
there is no link to the new page I created in the linkbar on the left and
bottom of the page after publishing.

Before I contact my web hosting provider is there any suggestions I should
try? Thanks for your help!

When you first create the page are you working within an opened FP web/site
and then Publishing via http method?

Your left and bottom areas are probably nav bars in shared borders
Shared borders and Include Pages are design time tools w/ the content (inside the <BODY> tags) of the Shared Border or Include page
"embedded" or included as html in your pages when you save any of the file(s) using them (or save the borders / include pages
themselves)

FP converts your page(s) to a series of tables to include the Shared borders, (which are really just a special case of Include
pages)
But FP can not build those tables if either your shared border page content or main page content has illegal html or broken tag
pairs
- usually due to missing </body></html> tags, or unmatched table / cell tags (unclosed table / cell tags), or some other unclosed
html block element

If you can see them using File Preview in Browser they will publish in as part of your pages

If you can't see them using File Preview in Browser, it's because FP can not build the included content tables, so you need to
validate and correct your broken html
