I bought a Sony Vaio and was amazed it only came
with "Works 7.0". Do I really have to spend $$$ to
get "Office"?

Yes; but Works has full Word, and office "Small Business Edition" has
Word and Excel.

I don't know of ANY computers that "come with" Office, although you can
buy it from Dell with a new computer, the charge for it is substantial.

If you qualify, the 2003 "Students and Teacher's" edition is a very good
buy, they officially and legally allow installation on up to 3 computers.
