Legacy Groove & MSDN

Is the migration plan for Groove to Microsoft support strictly based on
version 2007?

More specifically, we're getting our hands on VSTE w/ MSDN Premium. Will it
come with Groove v3 licenses?

Assuming not, will MSDN subscribers see legacy (v3) Groove licensing before
Office 2007 is released? (I will meanwhile assume Groove 2007 will be
licensed with the MS Office 2007 license that comes with MSDN.)

So let's get this straight. Microsoft not only has owned Groove for more
than a year now, but in fact Microsoft's CSA is now Groove's founder, yet no
one knows by now the official word on Groove support for subscribed
developers.

Time to sell off my MSFT shares. Oh wait, .. I never bought any... doh!

Hi,

In my view, many of these buyouts are simply to stifle competition. In
other words, but out a product then damage it to the point that no one
wants it anymore, then press ahead with your own "better" version. It's
not only Microsoft, Sun did the same with Cobalt servers.

One thing is for sure, Microsoft's server-side "strategy" (!) is a total
mess, and the components are not even compatible with each other, let
alone anything else.
