Legal Question

I have Office XP installed OEM on a Dell computer. I have the original
receipt for this system, but I have lost the CD's and Certificate of
Authenticity. I don't have any need for these currently, but I will remove
Office if it is deemed that I am "illegal".

Thanks,

What is your question? If you need replacement media, contact your OEM as
they are legally obligated to supply this to you under their contract with
Microsoft.

Please be aware that the longer you wait to contact Dell about
replacements the less likely you will be able to get them.

What I ineloquently attempted to ask was: Is a receipt enough proof of
purchase, or do i need the Certificate of Authenticity?

Best to ask Dell. Maybe this info on their web site. Phone them.

Keep it simple.

A receipt for 'anything' is proof of purchase
