Let the task choose which resource use

I have two different machines that can do the same task, so I've assigned
both of them, but what do I have to do to make the task "choose" which one to
use? I only want one of them (the one that is first idle) to work on it until
it's complete.

Right now they are cooperating on completing the task in MSP, and that is
not possible in real life, and it also doubles the duration...

I'm quite new to MSP, so there might be something very obvious that I've
overlooked.

Hi,

Unfortunately, you haven't overlooked anything.
Project will not select a resource for you, that is not a function of the
software I'm afraid.

Thank you! It helps alot, even though it wasn't what I wanted to hear. I'll
just have to solve the problem in some other way, then.
