Letterhead created in Word

As I'm trying to deliver a print-on-demand letterhead to a client, I
chose to create a template in Word that contains the letterhead
elements which consists of a left hand column and a graphic in the
lower right corner. I inserted graphics and a text box, and adjusted
the features of each item so they did not flow with text, had locked
anchors, etc.

So why don't these images stay put? If a document extends beyond one
page, the graphics and text box all shift to the 2nd page.

I want the items that I've placed to stay where I put them, PERIOD.
=-) How can I do that?

Thanks. Word makes no sense to me as I've spent years using Quark,
PageMaker and InDesign.

I've seen that advice in a few arenas. I guess that means Word can't
handle graphics on the page that don't move. Too bad -- but I guess I'm
not surprised! We have some graphical elements (such as a watermark)
that span across the page outside of the bhead and foot. Oh well.

Thanks for responding!
